Te Hauora o Ngāti Hauā has been involved in numerous kaupapa over the years, including;

  • The hosting of two International Family Violence Conferences;
  • Coordinating a substandard Housing Project resulting in 2.2m joint Government Funding toward substandard housing, stormwater reticulation, sewage reticulation, Retrofit and Fire Safety Prevention;
  • Low Deposit Rural Lending Home Ownership Workshops
  • Ngati Haua Regional Development Strategy
  • Ngati Haua Rangatahi Strategy
  • Home Ownership Programmes
  • Governance and Directorship Training
  • Access to Direct Resource Funding for educational scholarships and Marae Capacity Development
  • Womens’ Day / Children’s Day / White Ribbon Day / Musical Productions

Contributing to National Government policies

Previous years has seen the organisation contribute toward national policies through a series of Government funded Pilots such as Social Entrepreneur, E Tū Whanau, HNZC Housing Strategy and Integrated Contracting.
Te Hauora o Ngati Haua are currently accredited as a Community Service Provider (Level 2) and also hold ISO Accreditation for Quality Management Systems.

Our board has five representatives from each Ngāti Hauā marae;
